The Jews of Iran have their own official website. Here's the community celebrating Hanucah, the headscarf-wearing Jewish women indistinguishable from Muslims.(With thanks: Albert)
And judging by the list of statements condemning Israel, the Iranian government, not surprisingly, uses the website for political purposes.
The latest condemnation, however, cannot fail to bring a smile to the lips. It reads: we condemns (sic) the killing of people in Ghana.
Huh? Perhaps the webmaster received his instructions from the Ayatollahs via a very crackly 'phone line. He must have meant Gaza, not Ghana.
But the statement continues: "Iran Jewish community condemns the brutal killing of innocent Lebanese people in Ghana."
Curiouser and curiouser.
